Planning & Noise
When submitting a planning application, you may be required to include an environmental impact statement (EIS) or an environmental report. The EIS will include details of noise and vibration impacts. The environmental report may also require inclusion of a noise and vibration chapter. Having prepared the noise and vibration chapter of over 60 EISs, Damian Brosnan has the experience to prepare the noise and vibration chapter of your EIS or environmental report.
If you have already submitted a planning application, the local authority may issue a request for further information (FI request, or RFI). The RFI may seek details of noise emissions associated with your development, and proposals to mitigate same. Damian Brosnan Acoustics (dBA) will prepare your reply, compiling the necessary information to help get your application over the line. We have worked on countless applications, ranging from large industrial to small commercial.
Once planning is granted, the permission may include conditions relating to noise. Such conditions may specify noise limits applicable to your premises, and may set out monitoring requirements. We can manage your monitoring programme from start to finish. You won’t need to worry about the paperwork, so you can get on with running your business.
